Roooi Debuts in Africa's prestigous event

Roooi debuted their spring summer 2015 collection, as well as their pre fall 2015 collection at the Hub of Africa fashion week in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. This was an event that hosted only exclusive fashion industry names and press from the fashion conscious continent for a select designers with African inspiration and heritage. The event was indeed spectacular and was hosted at a lush gallery in Addis Ababa's city centre . ROOOI 's collection was like a set from Dior at paris fashion week. Didn't really know that there was an African designer with such broad talents in expression of design with a European twist. The designer brand based in London has worked with the biggest in the African film and music industry, working with the likes of the noble Nollywood star Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, award winning beauty queen and movie producer and actress Yvonne Nelson of Ghana and governmental dignitaries to name a few. I love the way the feathers was in co-operated to the lace and the way he used brocade in such an amazing style. I also heard that the brand is taking a global turn in focusing on the fashion global scale , working with main stream celebs and a few major concessions coming up in Newyork and the UK . Roooi is definitely an ageless and timeless brand in terms of style. I sure bet Roooi is definitely a brand to watch globally and I sure see the likes of Rihanna or even queen bee (Beyonce) in his work. That would be a major breakthrough for the brand and other aspiring African designers.
